Horses Helping Humans

The Serenity Project

The Serenity Project was created to bring together trauma survivors and horses for a unique and profound healing experience.

The Project combines traditional talk therapy facilitated by a licensed therapist with the transformative insights that only direct interactions with horses can offer. The Serenity Project provides these services free to those in need.

“Changing the world is possible. We’ve done it before!”

Born from deeply personal experiences of healing trauma through horses, Ruth Nicodemus founded The Serenity Project. Seeing how people with anxiety and depression were transformed around horses, The Serenity Project was created to provide an opportunity for survivors of trauma to access this unique healing modality. Today The Serenity Project provides solace and healing for survivors of trauma in a safe, compassionate environment.

We are a not-for-profit, 501c3 that depends solely on your donations to provide this service.
